CEO and Member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Galfetti holds a bachelor degree in economics from the Commercial University Bocconi in Milan, Italy. He has in addition achieved the distinction of CFA (Chartered Financial Accountant). Mr. Galfetti gained practical and managerial experience in a number of sectors such as clinical research, pharmaceutical discovery and development, business development and licensing as well as operational strategic management and restructuring. Mr. Galfetti joined APR in 1995 as head of licensing and business development and was appointed to his current position in 2002. Mr. Galfetti is member of several Pharma Licensing groups and has been a speaker at a number of international conferences in the pharmaceutical field.

Giorgio Reiner

Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) and Head of Research & Development Operations. Mr. Reiner holds a graduate degree in pharmaceutical chemistry and technology from the University of Pharmacy in Milan, Italy. He has completed post graduate courses in toxicology as well as in cosmetic technology. Mr. Reiner is author of scientific publications and inventor or co-inventor of several patents covering synthesis processes, drug delivery technologies and pharmaceutical compositions and formulations. He has over 25 years of work experience in Research and Development in areas including organic drug synthesis, pharmaceutical process development and analytical control. Mr. Reiner has joined APR in 2000 and currently serves as Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) and Head of Research & Development Operations.

Giulia Recalcati

Corporate Director, Finance

 

Mrs. Recalcati holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Finance from the Commercial University Bocconi and a Master's Degree in Economics from the University Cattolica (Milan). She started her career as External Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers S.p.A. in Milan providing assurance and consulting services to large retailers and pharmaceutical companies. Afterwards, she worked as Internal Auditor in an Apparel company managing financial, compliance and operational audit projects. She joined APR in 2018 and now is responsible for Finance activities.

Jean-Philippe Maréchal

Global Marketing & Sales Director

 

Jean-Philippe was Immunology Therapeutic Unit Head and Integrated Solution Lead at UCB France, where he oversaw a large team in marketing and commercial operations.

From 2014 to 2019, he was the International Strategy & Marketing Director for Rare Diseases – EMEA, LATAM & APAC and Executive Committee Member at Recordati Rare Diseases, focused among others on inherited metabolic disorders. Previously Jean-Philippe served as International Medico-Marketing Manager – DACH, CEE & Middle East, at AOP Orphan in Vienna.

From 2006 to 2012, Jean-Philippe held positions of increasing responsibility at Bayer, most recently based in Berlin serving as Global Commercial Excellence & SFE Manager – EMEA and was PAH Franchise Lead in France. His earlier experience includes positions at LEO Pharma, Servier and Sanofi. He received a MS in Molecular and Cellular Biology from UPMC and a Post-Master’s Degree in Marketing and Management, completed more recently by an Executive Certificate in Finance from INSEAD.

Nunzia Ceppi Monti

Corporate Quality & Vigilance, Director

 

Corporate Quality & Vigilance Director, Deputy Technical Responsible.

Mrs. Ceppi Monti holds a Bachelor degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology, University of Milan, Italy. Extensive experience in pharmaceutical and  life science starting from metabolism/ pharmacokinetics/ clinical pharmacology to pass then to quality operations , gained through different managerial positions in pharmaceutical industries and CROs. Mrs. Ceppi Monti has been Member of AFTI (Ass. Farmaceutici Ticinese) Board for the last 9 years; is member of SwaPP (Swiss Association of Pharmaceutical Professional), is  ECA certified QA Professional. Author of more than 35 publications.

Joined APR in 2006; realized the set up/ implementation of the company integrated Quality Management System. She is   responsible for the maintenance of the effectiveness of QMS within the entire company organization in compliance with GxP, ISO 13485 and HACCP standards and to assure  promotion of any action acting to its improvement after processes’ impact evaluation.

Responsible for Vigilance/Surveillance related activities within the company.

Daniele Contento

Operations & Sales Director

Mr. Contento holds a Master's Degree in Engineering Management. All his professional experience took place in the pharmaceutical industry, covering various roles in Purchasing and Planning areas and afterwards in Supply Chain Management area.

Mr. Contento joined APR in 2020 as Head of Supply Chain and was appointed to his current position during 2021.

Alessandra Frangi

Technical Operations Director
GMP/GDP Responsible Person

 

Mrs Frangi holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences from the University La Statale (Milan). She gained 20 years practical and managerial experience working in the pharmaceutical quality control and manufacturing, managing microbiological and chemical GMP laboratories in international Companies.

She is a qualified Auditor and has been working as Quality System consultant with pharmaceutical, medical devices, cosmetics, food supplements companies and contract testing laboratories, achieving a wide experience as project leader and trainer.

She joined APR in 2015 and currently serves as GMP/GDP Technical Responsible and Director of Technical Operations, responsible of the technical department and the laboratories of APR, covering Research and Development, Manufacturing and Quality Control Functions.

Vincenzo Gallo

Corporate Legal Counsel

Mr. Gallo achieved a Master’s degree in Law summa cum laude from University “Magna Graecia” of Catanzaro, Italy in 2012 and he qualified to practice Law in Italy in 2014. He has been working as in-house legal counsel in international pharmaceutical groups since 2013, covering roles of increasing responsibilities and leading the legal activities in certain geographical areas.

Mr. Gallo joined APR as Corporate Legal Counsel in May 2020. He is responsible for legal and compliance matters, acts as Privacy Manager and representative for Trademarks management. He is completing an Executive Master in Compliance, Risk & Business Continuity Management & Auditing at ISTUM (Italy).

Nadia Giarratana

Pre-Clinical & Clinical Operations Director
Head of Regulatory Medical Device

Mrs. Giarratana holds a graduate degree in Medical Biotechnologies from the University of Studies in Milan and a PhD in Cellular & Molecular Biology and Pathology from the University of Verona. She attended several advanced courses in pre-clinical/clinical area and a high specialization course in regulatory affairs. Actively partecipating in the strategic design and development, from idea to commercialization, of several products belonging to different regulatory categories, Mrs. Giarratana gained practical and managerial experience in pre/clinical operations of Pharmaceutical Products, Medical Devices, Medical Foods and in the regulatory development of Medical Devices from class I to class III. She is co-author of more than 20 scientific publications. Mrs. Giarratana joined APR in 2004 after an experience in Roche Milano Ricerche and in Bioxell; her current position is Pre-Clinical & Clinical Operations Director, and Head of Regulatory Medical Device.

Marco Marotta

Corporate Director, BD&L

 

Mr. Marotta joined APR in January 2015. He was initially in charge to reshape and optimize the entire end-to-end supply chain process; afterwards, he joined licensing and business development department establishing and consolidating APR presence in emerging markets like APAC and LATAM.

Since 2019, Mr. Marotta is leading APR Business Development, as a Director, with responsibility of licensing-out proprietary products worldwide, divest not strategic assets maximizing monetization and merge the company with Relief Therapeutics group.

Currently Mr. Marotta is strongly involved into strategic development of the group, including scouting and evaluation of synergic assets. He holds a Master’s Degree in Management Engineer from the University Federico II in Napoli and an Executive MBA at Commercial University Bocconi in Milan.

Patrizia Marzorati

Head of Medical Affairs

 

Mrs. Marzorati holds a bachelor degree in Medical Biotechnology at University of Milan (Italy) and a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan as a research scientists in stem cells. A Master in marketing e management in the pharmaceutical field completes her background.

Her scientific preparation is the starting point of the experience as Regulatory Affairs, Project Manager then evolved into Innovation Project Manager.

She joined APR in 2010 and now is responsible for Medical Affairs keeping in this role also the scientific strategic analyses for internal and external new projects and LCM.

Matthias Röder

Managing Director Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH region)

Matthias Röder is a pharmacist with two decades of experience in the pharma-biotech world; his area of expertise lies in the commercialization of highly innovative treatments in rare diseases. He held various commercial positions of increasing responsibility at Orphan Europe, Shire and Takeda in the DACH and Central & Eastern Europe region.

In his latest role he served as Head of Business Planning & Operations DACH at Shire. After the acquisition by Takeda he moved into the role of Chief of Staff Germany before joining APR in June 2020.

Marco Gargioli

Country Manager, APR Italy

 

Marco has worked in the pharmaceutical market since 1999 holding various commercial roles in different companies. For the last 12 years, he has had experience in the rare and ultra-rare disease sector and was involved in the start-up of the Italian subsidiary of Amryt. His last work experience was at Sobi as Commercial Director of hemophilia products. Over the past 12 years Marco had the opportunity to lead the reimbursement process of 5 pharmaceutical products and to introduce them to the Italian market.

When he is not working, Marco is a husband, father of 4 children, traveler and tries to keep healthy by playing different sports.
